Design Technology to Improve LivesI am passionate about studying how we can design technology to improve the quality of life and social interaction for people. I am also passionate about educating new computer scientists to go off and make a difference in the world. I am fortunate enough to get to pursue both of these passions as an assistant professor of Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Go Titans!
In preparation for this venture, I attained my Ph.D. in at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. At UMN I was a member of GroupLens Lab, researching human-computer interaction (HCI) and social computing under the advisement of Brent Hecht and Loren Terveen (or BLo for short ;).
